Since its establishment in 1984, the Foundation has helped infuse more than $87 million into the community. In 2009, we awarded more than $3 million in grants – primarily at the recommendation and designation of our donors. These grants were designed to improve the quality of life in our region and beyond.

In 2009, we increased our Community Giving Fund awards - our source of unrestricted granting - by over 30 percent to help meet increased needs in the area. We offered five additional $25,000 grants to organizations that supported basic needs - Clark County Food Bank, the Free Clinic of Southwest Washington, Community House on Broadway, Loaves and Fishes Center and Share.

Health and Human Services and Education make up the majority of our 2009 granting, providing the basic necessities and learning opportunities that build better lives.
