The Community Foundation continues to receive the highest level opinion on its audit – a reflection of the Foundation’s commitment to financial excellence.
Nonprofits are under increased scrutiny with new auditing standards to assess internal fiscal controls. Our financial reporting is deemed highly reliable and compliant with the new standards, defined under the recently updated SAS No. 112 guidelines.
Overseen by a Board-appointed Audit Committee, the 2007 audit was conducted by Talbot, Korvola & Warwick. They commended Chief Financial Officer, Mary Pringle, for “maintaining the Community Foundation’s financials records completely, as well as designing and implementing strong internal controls.”
