Richard Melching,
President

Rick Melching retired in 2005 after 31 years in public education, serving his last 21 years as the Superintendent of the Evergreen Public Schools. There he oversaw a district whose high quality educational programs resulted in numerous prestigious grants and awards. He has worked as a consultant in the areas of executive coaching, board development, strategic planning, and project management. Additionally, he serves on one private sector board and on a number of nonprofit boards including the Clark County Early Learning Fund and the Evergreen School District Foundation. Previously, he served as Chair of the Coalition of East Vancouver Communities, as a Board member of the Community Foundation and the Columbia River Economic Development Council and as a member of the Greater Vancouver Chamber of Commerce and the Vancouver Police Chief’s Advisory Committee.
Rick and his wife, Sarah, have been honored by the Clark County Early Learning Fund, and Rick is also the recipient of the Gerald Bader Award, both honors recognizing commitment to the success of children.

Mary Pringle, the Foundation’s Chief Financial Officer since 2002, is a certified public accountant and has 20 years of experience working with unique charitable planning needs.
Her broad range of experience in public accounting, from auditor to tax consultant, allows her to bring a wealth of expertise to Community Foundation donors. Her familiarity of working directly for charitable organizations as well as her volunteer Board activities has given her a well-rounded and comprehensive perspective on the issues that matter to nonprofits. Originally from Texas, Mary has a Bachelor of Business Administration degree in Accounting from the University of Texas at El Paso, where she graduated with honors. She is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, the Oregon Society of Certified Public Accountants, and Technical Assistance for Community Services.

Anne Digenis, Donor Services and Grants Officer

Anne Digenis, Donor Services and Grants Officer since 1997, provides ongoing assistance to donors, matching their charitable interests with community need - locally, regionally, and nationally. Anne also manages the Foundation’s competitive grant-making programs for Clark and Skamania counties, which provide funding to local nonprofit organizations. In addition, she oversees the Foundation's scholarship program, which provides financial assistance for students wishing to continue their post high school education. Anne also manages the Youth Philanthropy Program, which engages area youth in all aspects of philanthropy.
Born in Seattle and raised in Portland, Anne is a graduate of Clark College and has resided in Vancouver for over 30 years.

Pam Cabanatuan, Accountant

Pam Cabanatuan, Accountant, joined the Community Foundation in July 2010, and provides support to Mary Pringle, the Chief Financial Officer. Pam's previous accounting experience includes work in the biotechnology and construction industries. She grew up in Southern California and holds degrees from the University of California at San Diego and San Diego State University.

Judy Lundeen, Development Associate

Judy Lundeen, Development Associate, is a native of Minneapolis, Minnesota and received a bachelor’s degree from Macalester College in St. Paul. She has held marketing, event planning and account management positions in corporate and nonprofit environments throughout her career. Before relocating to the Pacific Northwest in 2005, she served at The Minneapolis Foundation for nearly four years. Judy joined the Community Foundation in February 2011 and supports Sarah Nevue with development efforts.

Maury Harris, Marketing and Communications Specialist

Maury Harris, Marketing and Communications Specialist, is a native of the Portland-Vancouver metro area. After being raised between the two cities, he attended the Edward R. Murrow School of Communication at Washington State University, Pullman. Graduating in 2005, Maury went on to hold various roles in magazine and newspaper publishing.
He brought this media expertise to the foundation in April 2011, and has since been focused on developing and implementing multi-channel marketing initiatives that promote the foundation’s products, services and brand. These include publications, social media and advertising campaigns. In addition to his professional responsibilities, Maury also volunteers locally with two non-profits as part of their marketing and communications subcommittees.

Angelina Aiello, Administrative Assistant

Angelina (Lina) Aiello, Administrative Assistant and Receptionist, joined the Community Foundation in June 2011. She is a lifelong Vancouver, Washington resident, and grew up volunteering for various organizations in the community. Most recently, she volunteered as a reading tutor at Walnut Grove Elementary School. Lina is also working toward completing her bachelor's degree in Business Marketing at Washington State University Vancouver.
