Support Good Works for Generations to Come

Do you want your children and grandchildren to know the joys, benefits, and responsibilities of charitable giving?

Do you want to shape the future of your community for generations to come?

Do you want to minimize your estate tax burden?

The Community Foundation can help leave a lasting legacy.

Create a distinct charitable fund. You can create a fund named in honor of your family or loved ones. Imagine leaving a fund for your family to support charities important to you or to them. This kind of fund allows your family to recommend grants, locally or nationally — and then we take care of implementing their wishes. You can get started now by creating a fund during your lifetime (with a minimum $10,000 gift) and add to your fund through your estate. Or, you can establish your fund with a provision in your will or revocable living trust.

Support results-oriented giving in southwest Washington. Do you want to support your community well into the future? The Community Giving Fund is a perfect solution. A permanent endowment, the Community Giving Fund is guided by Board members and community experts who determine the charitable organizations that will receive funding. Or, help advance philanthropy and accelerate the pace of giving for the future by naming the Community Foundation’s own Administrative Endowment.

Minimize your tax burden.Maximize benefit to heirs and community. Estate planning can be overwhelming — perhaps this is why over half of Americans do not have wills. We can work with your own professional advisors to develop an estate plan that accomplishes your financial, family, and charitable objectives.
