KATHY CORWIN

Kathy Corwin is a lifelong resident of Clark County and has been active in volunteerism and fundraising for over thirty years. She is currently a member of several community organizations including the Claudia Swanson Chapter of Friends of Doernbecher, the Vancouver Women’s Foundation, Southwest Washington Hospice and the YWCA Clark County. She is also a supporter of the new Kearney Breast Center and the PeaceHealth Southwest Medical Center Foundation, as well as a member of the Pink Power Committee. Kathy is also very invested in the most recent additions to her family—her four grandchildren.

Professionally, Kathy acts as Community Liaison for Corwin Beverage Company, her family’s business that now stretches four generations of ownership over its 70-year history. Her husband of twenty years, Kyle Corwin, was also a dedicated Clark County citizen until his passing in November, 2006. In memory of his values, and to support the family’s tradition of community involvement, Kathy encouraged the Corwin family to open a Donor Advised Fund (Corwin Family Fund) at the Community Foundation. Currently, five members of the family are engaged in making grant decisions, and with each generation will come new involvement.

GREG GOODWIN

For more than 30 years, Greg Goodwin has held numerous leadership roles within the automotive sales industry. In 1999, he moved to the Pacific Northwest to become President and Chief Executive Officer of Kuni Enterprises, Inc. and currently resides in Vancouver, Wash. Among other endeavors, he manages the corporate giving program at Kuni Enterprises, Inc., serves as an honorary advisor on the Kuni Foundation and is a former board member of George Fox University and the YMCA of Columbia Willamette.

After being introduced to the Community Foundation through his attorney, Goodwin decided to open a Donor Advised Fund (Goodwin Family Fund) that brings his wife and their four sons together through charitable giving. In addition, they have incorporated the Community Foundation into their estate plans.

In 2007, Goodwin was elected to the Board of Directors at the Community Foundation for Southwest Washington, where he is now serving as Secretary. He also sits on the board of the Classic Wines Auction, while he and his wife are actively serving as co-chairs on the Legacy Emanuel Capital Campaign for The Children’s Hospital Foundation.

STEVE AND JO MARIE HANSEN

Steve and Jo Marie Hansen are tied to many notable community projects in southwest Washington through their exceptional philanthropy.

In 1968, Steve started working for Peter Kiewit, a large North American construction company, as a summer intern and rose through the ranks to become a senior vice president and division manager. Steve served on the board of Peter Kiewit Inc until his retirement in 2008. Now a retired executive, Steve continues to build our region’s social and commercial infrastructure with his wife Jo Marie. Recently, they joined other partners in the development plans for the 29-acre Boise Cascade waterfront property in downtown Vancouver.

Their work in the community is notable. Included in the many organizations they support are PeaceHealth Southwest Medical Center Foundation, Share, the Southwest Washington Council for the Homeless, the Boys & Girls Clubs of Southwest Washington, Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic High School and the Free Clinic of Southwest Washington. Jo Marie has served on the Boards of the Community Foundation for Southwest Washington and Share, while Steve is currently serving his first term with the Community Foundation.

The couple set up a Donor Advised Fund (Hansen Family Fund) at the Community Foundation. Through this fund they are able to direct their charitable gifts toward personally compelling causes, while also involving their four children in the rewards of philanthropic impact.

DAVID AND PATTY PAGE

David and Patty Page are residents of Vancouver, Wash. who avidly volunteer with community organizations near and dear to them.

Nearly a lifetime resident, David became part of Clark College’s first cadre of Data Processing Program students in 1964 after completing a term in the United States Air Force. He is one of the charter members of the Salmon Creek Lions Club, and his passions for boating and sailing have segued into various watershed stewardship duties. As a result of serving on the Board of the Salmon Creek Watershed Council, David played an instrumental role in the organization’s establishment of the Salmon Creek Watershed Endowment Fund at the Community Foundation.

A native Oregonian, Patty moved to Vancouver in 1974 and served as a Clark County Clean Water Commissioner from 2005 to 2010. She has been an environmental advocate since elementary school, when she was involved with 4-H Forestry and the Oregon Green Guard. Human relations and child development also are threaded through her education and career choices. She lends her volunteer efforts to projects that touch both passions: the earth and its people, most recently in the areas of recycling and earth-friendly gardening.

Both are co-owners of Mekos Corporation, an independently owned software company, which has been operating successfully since 1979. In light of their many charitable interests, their attorney recommended the Community Foundation to them in 2010. The couple’s first step was opening a Donor Advised Fund (David and Patricia Page Family Fund). Soon after, they took the steps to include their fund in their estate plans so that they could pass along their value of charitable giving to their children.
