The Audit Committee designs and implements internal fiscal controls, assuring the Foundation meets the highest standards for accuracy, security and accountability.  The Foundation’s compliance with National Standards and generally accepted accounting principals is closely monitored by the Committee.  The Committee also hires and oversees independent auditors to guarantee the Foundation’s financial statements are accurate and internal controls are functioning as designed.

The Finance Committee is responsible for all matters relating to the Community Foundation’s fiscal health.  The Community Foundation has over 220 donor funds, which are carefully invested following the Investment Policy and Guidelines, which are developed by the Finance Committee.  The Committee also develops, monitors, and sustains the general operating budget for the Foundation.

The Investment Committee is responsible for developing investment policies and investment portfolio strategies, establishing asset allocation models and providing investment oversight.  In addition, the Committee invests all Community Foundation liquid assets, including endowed funds, pass-through gifts, and life income gifts.  The Committee regularly reviews investment performance to assure compliance with the Investment Policy as adopted by the Board of Directors.
