National Standards Certification

NSSealblackThe National Standards Seal by our name indicates our commitment to the most rigorous standards in philanthropy. This official seal of approval is granted by the the Community Foundations National Standards Board and affirms our commitment to financial security, transparency and accountability. It says our grantmaking includes an open, competitive process designed to address the changing needs of our community and affirms our value of honoring donors’ charitable wishes. This requires our organization to document and submit policies related to donor services, investment management, grant making and administration for a rigorous peer review. While the 41 standards are intended to establish legal, ethical and operational benchmarks for our industry, we feel the most important outcome is the trust they communicate to you.
