Meet
Bridget McKay
Chief Development Officer
Bridget McKay joined the Community Foundation in 2025 to lead its development team as the Chief Development Officer. She has spent nearly twenty years partnering with donors to create meaningful change through their giving. Her breadth of knowledge and experience spans a variety of giving modalities and organizations—from higher education institutions like Claremont Graduate University and Caltech to arts and healthcare nonprofits. Most recently, she served as a Major Gift Officer at the Multidisciplinary Association for Psychedelic Studies—a leader in pioneering research to expand mental health treatment options.
For her, it’s all about the joy of helping people turn their values into action and accomplish more with their giving than they imagined possible. Her approach emphasizes passionate collaboration and trust-based relationships, ensuring generosity leads to lasting impact.
She holds a B.F.A. in painting from the Cleveland Institute of Art and an M.F.A. from Claremont Graduate University. She moved to Vancouver in 2023 with her husband, two young children and two cats. She quickly got involved as a Girl Scout parent volunteer and recently became a troop leader. She looks forward to finding other ways to give back and deepen her ties in this thriving community.
