Jennifer Lucas

Jennifer joined the Community Foundation for Southwest Washington in 2026 as the Scholarship Program Coordinator. She is passionate about expanding access to higher education and is committed to supporting students across the region in achieving their goals through equitable scholarship opportunities.

With more than 23 years of experience in higher education, Jennifer has served students throughout Southwest Washington in roles at Clark College, Lower Columbia College, Washington State University Vancouver, and Portland State University. For 19 years, she worked as a financial aid counselor, helping students and families navigate the complexities of paying for college. Her background also includes program management, recruitment and outreach, and scholarship administration—work that has brought her a strong sense of purpose and fulfillment.

Prior to joining the Foundation, she spent five years in human resources and talent acquisition, further deepening her passion for connecting people with opportunity.

Jennifer is a lifelong Washingtonian who earned her Bachelor of Science in Management with a focus in Human Resources from Everest University. Outside of work, she enjoys adventures with her child and golden retriever, especially during the summer months in the Pacific Northwest. You might find her hiking, on the water, camping or at the coast. She also enjoys traveling with friends, spending time with family, and attending concerts, and remains deeply connected to the community she serves.
