Since their establishment, the owners of Chips, The Last Frontier, The New Phoenix and Palace casinos have provided annual donations to create and support the La Center Casinos Charitable Fund, which provides a substantial pot of grant dollars to nonprofits serving the community of La Center. This charitable fund held and managed by the Community Foundation provides general purpose grants every quarter to local projects and programs that benefit the citizens of La Center by improving the area’s quality of life.

Who can apply for grants from the La Center Casinos Charitable Fund?: Nonprofits with a 501(c)(3) tax-exempt status, or municipalities, that serve the community of La Center, Washington are encouraged to apply by submitting an application during the quarterly application period.
Who reviews and approves my organizations grant application?: A grants committee comprised of community leaders and Community Foundation staff reviews each application and selects grant recommendations. These recommendations are then presented to the Community Foundation Board of Directors for final approval.
How often do you award grants?: The La Center Casinos Charitable Fund grants on a quarterly basis.
What is the average grant size?: The dollar amount of these grants varies based on need. Applicants can choose to request what they feel will effectively meet the need of their project or program and the committee will determine whether or not that number is justifiable based on the needs present in La Center.
