The world provides endless opportunities for improvement. Communities are complex systems intended to serve people, yet many fall through the cracks or simply fall behind. Philanthropy addresses these shortcomings and strives toward our greatest potential.
After decades of work, we’ve found that effective solutions require giving in all ways. Addressing immediate individual needs and planning long-term community solutions are equally important to achieving lasting, positive impact. We know nourished students succeed in school, and people with stable housing are healthier. We understand that people with a solid savings account can better plan for their futures.
We are grateful to work with donors, fundholders, and volunteers who take action, making these types of opportunities possible for more students, neighbors and hard-working people in southwest Washington.
We hope to build on this legacy and close as many gaps as possible, so we can ensure that everyone in our region enjoys its prosperity. This work will undoubtedly continue for generations to come. Yet, we stand undeterred.
