Janie Spurgeon

Janie brought more than 15 years of professional and volunteer fundraising experience to the Community Foundation in 2017 and leads the development and donor services team. Prior to joining the Foundation, Janie worked at both United Way of the Columbia-Willamette as the Vice President of Individual Philanthropy and the American Cancer Society, where she led multi-state major and planned giving programs.

Janie holds a Bachelors of Arts Degree from the University of Utah. In her spare time she enjoys skiing, camping and all the wonderful adventures that come with raising two children. She is a member of the Association of Fundraising Professionals, serves on the board of CASA for Children for Multnomah, Washington and Columbia Counties and with the Duniway Schools Foundation.
